Craig Wood

For the last twenty years, I have worked in the conservation sector, working for various charities (Wildlife Trust for Birmingham & the Black Country, BTCV (now TCV) & The Small Woods Association). The focus of his work has been about engaging people with the natural world. He has done this through working with volunteers on nature reserves, through social forestry programmes, environmental education (inc. forest schools) and through training and mentoring.

I have a passion for all things wood and has used this to create and develop a products, using timber from our own woodland or local sustainable alternatives. (see the gallery in ‘About us’). These are all bespoke items, made to meet the needs of the customers.

My qualifications and training include:

-BSc Biological sciences

-NPTC Chainsaw cert CS30/31

-NPTC Level 2 Cert of competence in the safe use of plant machinery (360 degree excavator)

-NPTC Level 2 Cert of competence in the safe use of dumper trucks (up to 10 tonne)

-NPTC Level 2 Cert of competence in the safe use of pesticides (PA1, PA6 & PA06AW)

-NCFE level 3 Advanced Bushcraft award

-OCN level 3 Forest School leader

-Level 3 award in Assessing competence in the work environment

-Current emergency first aid at work certificate

-Current level 2 Food hygiene certificate
